Hey there, my name is Francesca Beard, I'm a poet working on a sprawling metropolis of a project, LONDONTALES.

Im hoping to use this page for 2 things.

1. To hook up with a community of graphic artists - currently,  I'm looking for someone to collaborate with on a brand image for LONDONTALES.

LONDONTALES is a mulit-platform project, for live theatre audiences, manga/comix/graphic poems, film and digital media with some interactive/open-source components to that.

I need an image for all this - anyone?

I'm pitching LONDONTALES to various producers/possible partners in mid-July, so that's the initial timescale. These will be some money, but then, after, all being well, more. You know, the usual deal.

2. I'm hoping for some of LONDONTALES to be open-source, in that it's about multiple voices and different stories, so I'm going to use this livejournal page to post some work in progress in the hope that someone out there might want to comment, add stuff, suggest stories.

What I post here is going to be mainly character monologues. The idea for this bit of LONDONTALES is that there's a character prologue in the voice of a contemporary Londoner. This character then tells a story, either based on a factual story to do with London (Ann Boleyn at the Tower of London) Oscar Wilde's trial, the Brixton Riots - or rifing off a fictional story with London connections - eg Peter Pan, Oliver Twist (Dickens) Study In Scarlet (Sherlock Holmes) Pygmalion (Bernard Shaw) .

If you want to know more about me, I have a website at www.francescabeard.com
